GENMAX Reflects on a Successful Interzum 2025!
Interzum Cologne 2025 is over, and our GENMAX team is back home. We’re nursing sore feet and hoarse voices! After four busy days talking to everyone from small workshop owners to industry giants, we feel exhausted but thrilled with how it went.
The People We Met
Our booth in Hall 9 was the perfect spot this year. The steady flow of visitors helped us build real connections beyond typical trade show small talk. We met family businesses eager to modernize, established manufacturers looking for new paths, and startups with fresh ideas for the industry.
Some of our best moments came from unplanned interactions. For instance, the power went out briefly on Thursday afternoon, and everyone started sharing stories by phone light. An Italian group came by with homemade cookies. They were way better than anything at the official stands.
New Friends, New Plans
By the final day, we had collected business cards from 27 countries (yes, we counted!). Some highlights include:
A Danish design team with innovative ideas for the North American market
Several family workshops from Eastern Europe ready to elevate their operations
A surprising number of Australian visitors, given the distance they traveled
We’ve already scheduled follow-up calls with potential partners who liked our approach. The talks were clear and honest. There were no forced sales pitches or awkward negotiations. Everyone showed real interest in working together.
What Happens Next
Now comes the key part—following through on what we discussed in Cologne. We’ve organized our new contacts and are working through follow-ups carefully to ensure no one falls through the cracks.
We’ve committed to creating custom presentations for several interested groups by the end of the month. We also need to schedule video calls with those who can’t visit us in person but want to continue the conversation.
